The Song of the Sixty-Strokes by ~dougrock:icondougrock:

For years her ghostly apparition had been
Harassed by the soldiers of poltergeist, who
would accuse her lair of preventing the flow of life.
Liars! Couldn’t they realize her ill-fated state?

Her transience puzzled the crowd,
Hypnotizing the weak, softening the strong,
But the truth was that madness prevailed,
Enervating empty hearts, possessing darks spirits…

Laughter, which I see before my eyes,
Is just a demonstration of human wicked souls,
And their teeth I’ll let them show,
For in their tombs, to eat their bodies, I’ll let the crows.

Wise creatures, stop crying!
Your tears like tiny pieces of diamonds, enrich the gloomy phantoms,
So let’s not allow them to take control,
Or Lucifer may rise with his thousands souls

And for a tiny amount of time we shall stand in silence,
To honor the giant life of a giant madam,
But not even the bell of grace wants to stand with us,
Crushing the few vivid, sixty strokes.

Now she is utterly gone…
And to save her spirit, we must let her know,
That even though dreadful beings threatened her bosom,
We have fought them to save her dignifying glory.

Author's Comments

Considered by many as my best poem, it is the most difficult to understand too. Each line has a different symbol.
It talks about the death of the head mistress of my school, the attitude and the attitude of ppl present on the one minute of silence.

It is called song of the sixty strokes because it talks about the one minute of silence, and also, because it takes exactly one minute to read.
